What do you believe?

God is One

There is one God who knows all things and has all power. He is our creator, father, savior and friend. (Deut 6:4, Matthew 28:18, I Timothy 3:16)

The Bible, Inspired and Infallible

The Bible is the inspired word of God and is the authoritative source for all doctrine.  (II Timothy 3:16; Ephesians 3:5; II Peter 3:2).

State of Mankind and Salvation by God’s Grace

Through disobedience, mankind entered into sin and permanent spiritual separation from God. (Romans 5:12, Romans 3:23)  Nothing we do on our own can restore the prior state of man’s standing with God. However, because of Jesus’ obedience at Calvary, God has provided a way of escape from sin. Because of God’s grace we can now be free. (Romans 5:19, John 3:16 Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8, John 8:36)

What Must I Do?

Although man’s salvation is offered freely by God’s grace and through faith in Him, we are required to seek after God and obey his plan for entering into His kingdom. Jesus himself declared that we must be born again of water and spirit. We do this through repentance, baptism in Jesus name, and the infilling of God’s spirit, the Holy Ghost. (Hebrews 11:6, John 3:5, Acts 2:37-39)

Leading an Overcoming Life

Once we are born again into His kingdom, we have power to lead an overcoming life against sin and to fulfill the great commission as witnesses of the gospel of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 1:8, Ephesians 6:10-18, Phillipians 4:13)

Operation of Spiritual Gifts in the Church

The operation of God’s spirit is present in the Church today. Prophecy, healings, working of miracles and other gifts of the spirit serve to edify and perfect believers, meet physical and spiritual needs and demonstrate the presence and authenticity of God’s power to all the world. (Mark 16:17-18, James 5:14-15, I Corinthians 12:1-8)

What should I expect when I come?

People who raise their hands in the air, “Because Your loving kindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You. Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.” (Psalm 63:3-4)

People who pray aloud, “I cry out to the Lord with my voice, With my voice to the Lord I make my supplication.”(Psalm 142:1)

Lots of singing, Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! Sing to the Lord, all the Earth. Sing to the Lord, bless His name; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.” (Psalm 96:1-2)

Clapping of hands, “Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with the voice of triumph!” (Psalm 47:1)

Spiritual dancing, “Let them praise His name with the dance; Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp.”(Psalm 149:3)

People who speak in other tongues, “And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” (Acts 2:4) “Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak with tongues. Let all things be done decently and in order.” (I Corinthians 14:39-40)

Anointing of the sick with oil, “Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.” (James 5:14-15)
